Advocare's Better Business Bureau Record

Advocare International is registered with the BBB in Dallas. They have an A+ Rating. 11 complaints have been recorded by consumers. BBB has 5 different categories of complaints including:

1 - Problems with Product/Service
2 - Advertising/Sales Issues
3 - Billing/Collection Issues
4 - Delivery Issues
5 - Guarantee/Warranty Issues

All 11 Advocare complaints were in the first category: Problems with Product/Service. The complaints that have details still posted on the BBB site all seem to be related to Advocare's refund policies on opened products. Advocare does guarantee their products, but they will not take back opened product.

Here is how Advocare responds to the question "Can I get a refund on the products I am not satisfied with?"
Yes. If you are not completely satisfied with the products you have purchased, you may obtain a refund by returning the unused portion of the product or product packaging along with proof of purchase. If you purchased the product from an AdvoCare Distributor, please return those items to that person. If the product was purchased directly from the company, please return everything to the AdvoCare Home Office address along with your request in writing. AdvoCare retail customers are eligible to receive a refund on their most recent purchase.
While the company itself will not take back opened product, I have talked to distributors that will take back opened product and provide a refund.
